Results and client testimonials
Recent book PR campaigns told in full, and what founders, authors and editors say about working together. Every piece of coverage here was earned, not paid for.

briefed a national feature to senior leaders
of top legal press in ten weeks
plus three national newspapers for a memoir
plus BBC News online and radio for a leadership book
monthly readers for a regular column
a first-time author, covered a year after launch
Six books,six routes in.
Each campaign was built around the story only that author could tell, then pitched one journalist at a time and followed up properly. No coverage is paid for, and no result is guaranteed: journalists decide what runs.

MEMOIR · MILITARY · RECOVERYWillette Alston-Hockaday
From Crack to Colonel: One Woman's Fight from Rock Bottom to Full Bird Colonel
Willette Alston-Hockaday was addicted to crack cocaine in the early 1990s. She got sober and rose to full colonel, retiring in 2023 after 33 years of service, and is now more than 30 years sober. Her memoir tells that story plainly.
The angle: resilience, for a military audience. The breakthrough was a national feature in We Are The Mighty. Within days, the US Army's Installation Management Command picked it up and briefed it to senior leaders as a story of resilience, calling it “instructive for every Army Soldier.” TV, regional press and broadcast bookings followed.

BUSINESS · LEADERSHIP · LAWChaka M. Patterson
The Hot Seat: Mastering the Public Company General Counsel Role
Chaka Patterson was general counsel of NYSE-listed Adtalem Global Education, and now advises chief legal officers and teaches at the University of Chicago Law School. His book is a practical guide to one of the hardest jobs in corporate life.
The angle: go where lawyers and boards actually read. In about ten weeks the campaign placed him in five of the most-read titles in his field, with bylines, video and podcasts rather than one-off mentions.
- Law360 Pulse Expert Analysis byline
- Law360 Video interview
- NACD Directorship Online exclusive
- Corporate Counsel Interview
- TheCorporateCounsel.net Mentorship Matters podcast
- Above the Law The Jabot podcast

His diligence, expertise, and commitment have been exceptional, and he has been a tremendous asset to me throughout our work together.

plus three national newspapers
MEMOIR · LOSS · CHARITYDani Elm
Our Last Steps
In 2018 Dani Elm's family were involved in a serious accident. Her four-year-old daughter Darcy did not survive, and Dani woke from a coma with a spinal injury and a brain injury. She is donating every penny of her memoir's proceeds to 2Wish and Swanage Carnival.
The angle: a deeply personal story, handled with care, with a clear reason for readers to buy. It reached national television and press alongside her local paper.
- ITV Meridian and ITVX Filmed TV feature
- Daily Mirror National feature
- Daily Express National feature
- Sunday People National feature
- Enable magazine Feature
- Purbeck Gazette Local feature

News online and BBC Radio Newcastle in launch week
LEADERSHIP · STRATEGYEmily Pearson
Solving a CEO's Blind Spot: Human Sustainability
Emily Pearson advises CEOs and boards on human sustainability and founded the Wellbeing Lead Academy. Her book reached #4 in Amazon UK's HR and Personnel Management chart at launch.
The angle: wellbeing as leadership and organisational risk, not wellness. That argument took her to national broadcasters and the HR trade press, with regular bylines that keep working long after launch week.
- The Sun National feature
- BBC News Online feature on workers' mental health
- BBC Radio Newcastle Live interview
- HR Magazine Bylined opinion
- Personnel Today Bylined article
- ITV News Tyne Tees Recorded interview

his age when his first book came out
MEMOIR · FAMILY HISTORYDon Zrebiec
She Was Here: Uncovering My Grandmother's Silence at Willard Asylum
Don Zrebiec started writing at 90. His book traces his grandmother, a Polish immigrant mother of nine committed to the Willard Asylum in the 1920s, rebuilt from census records, archives and family memories because the state still withholds patient records.
The angle: take the story home. The book came out a year before the campaign began, which shows a strong story does not expire with the launch window.
- The Citizen, Auburn NY Feature
- syracuse.com Interview with the history writer
- Central New York Genealogical Society Book review and a talk to members
That is all very encouraging and I certainly appreciate the amount of work you are putting into this project.

readers a month for her regular column
FOOD · LIFESTYLE · MIDLIFEJoanna Palmer
La Limone: Recipes and Stories From a Life Well Zested
Joanna Palmer's La Limone books pair lemon-led recipes with stories from her life.
The angle: become a regular, not a one-off mention. She now writes a monthly recipe column for Sixty and Me, a site for women over 40 with around 600,000 readers and a 50,000-subscriber newsletter, which keeps her name and books in front of the same readers every month.
